WESTERN SPRINGS RENO

This Auckland home is shaped by light, proportion, and a quiet connection to everyday living. The plan centres on an open kitchen and dining space that flows seamlessly to a generous timber deck, extending the interior outward and encouraging year-round use of the garden.

Natural materials set the mood throughout. Warm timber cabinetry, soft-toned tiles, and oak flooring create a restrained palette that feels both contemporary and enduring. A built-in window seat anchors the dining area, offering a casual place to pause, gather, or observe the changing light through the day.

Externally, the architecture remains modest and precise. The low-pitched roof, timber soffits, and vertical screening define sheltered outdoor zones while maintaining privacy from neighbouring properties. Sliding doors dissolve the boundary between inside and out, reinforcing a sense of openness without compromising comfort.

Designed for family life, the house balances simplicity with warmth, and clarity with softness, an understated home that supports daily rituals with ease.
