Glenorchy House is a contemporary residence nestled in the dramatic landscape at the head of Lake Wakatipu, Glenorchy. The design responds to its alpine context with carefully oriented volumes, generous glazing, and a restrained material palette, ensuring the house feels grounded while framing panoramic mountain and lake views.

 

Natural materials, including timber, stone, and soft neutral finishes, create warmth and tactility, complementing the rugged landscape. Spatial sequencing and daylighting are carefully choreographed, connecting interior and exterior, so the outdoors becomes part of the everyday experience. Glenorchy House embodies a sensitive, refined approach to architecture, balancing contemporary living with its spectacular natural surroundings.
